Annual Seminar Conducted

Voice of Children conducted Annual Staff's Seminar 2014 on 30th and 31st December 2014, in Phewa Wildlife Resort, Sauraha. The team of 45 members including board members participated in the seminar. Since 2008, VOC is regularly organizing annual seminar with an objective to share and get feedback on program implementation from each unit. At the same, it is very much helpful to build good coordination among the staffs and to understand all program activities. Each of the program units presented the assessment of the year 2014 and planning of the year 2015.
The two days program started with the chairmanship of the president of VOC followed by the words from director of VOC on overview and objective of the program. The program further proceeded with the presentation on assessment and planning of the Prevention, Rescue, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Economic Development Units one after other on the first day. Similarly, the following day started with the assessment and planning presentation of PACSA Unit, Eastern Region Program of Itahari, Psychology Unit and then followed by Communication & Fundraising Unit and Admin & Finance unit. In the meantime, a workshop is conducted to generate ideas on local fundraising by dividing team into four different groups. Each of the group presented their concept of local fundraising and discussed on it. The director of VOC, Mr. Krishna K. Thapa presented the overall scenario & further planning of VOC. Similarly, Mr. Dipak Khatri, the secretary of VOC, thanked all the participants and summarized the output of the program. The seminar ended with the closing speech by Mr. Puran Shakya, the president of VOC. The team returned to Kathmandu in the next day afternoon after some recreational activities and sightseeing on the location.
