The mission of the LEGER FOUNDATION is to support innovative community-based initiatives in Quebec and elsewhere to improve the well-being of vulnerable and marginalized persons, at home and abroad. On July 9, 1981, the Canadian Senate approved a bill incorporating the Jules and Paul-Emile Leger Foundation. The approved bill received Parliamentary assent on December 18 that same year. The creation of this foundation is in keeping with the two brothers' wish to help the poorest people of the world. The Foundation bases its action on solidarity and humanist values and is non denominational. Leger Foundation is supporting VOC from 1st January 2015 to strengthen Break the Silence (BTS) network established for the protection of children in Nepal through training on the issue of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA), school orientation program and development of CSA materials.
