Voice of Children (VOC) is a Civil Society Organization based in Lalitpur, Nepal, with a vision of creating a just society where every child is respected and enjoys equal rights. Since its establishment in 2000, VOC has been dedicated to advocating for and acting on behalf of children who are abused, exploited, neglected, and separated from their families. Through the protection and promotion of child rights, social integration, and safeguarding, VOC aims to ensure that these children at risk can thrive and achieve their full potential for a quality life in safe families. The organization’s primary target groups include children, young people, women, and families, with a focus on addressing the barriers and risks they face in accessing their rights and protection. Alongside direct interventions, VOC collaborates with the Government of Nepal and other like-minded organizations for child protection, accountability, and rights to ensure robust child safeguarding mechanisms.
With a focus on children, young people, women, and families from marginalized communities in priority provinces and districts, VOC has successfully established itself as a resource organization for child rights and protection. Through collaborations with diverse stakeholders, evidence-based research interventions, and capacity-building efforts, VOC has been able to create positive changes and impacts in the lives of vulnerable children.
