6 children and 2 staff participated in 12th International Workshop in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India from 27th July to 1st August 2017 conducted by Butterflies Delhi. There were more than 120 children participated from eight different countries (India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Madagascar, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan). The participants were divided into two groups and conducted different workshop like one group for Children Development Khajana (CDK) / Children Health Cooperative (CHC) and another group for Children’s Media.
In the Media group children learnt how to be a reporter, child journalist, presenter etc. Through the experience sharing from the Butterflies Broadcast Children (BBC), children participants have gained additional knowledge of Media. During this program they prepared some radio programs and some newspaper too. For the observation the group visited in Radio Station of All India and some newspaper agencies.
For the CDK/ CHC group they shared progress of the children’s cooperatives. The workshop was focused on the nutrition food, livelihood of family and entrepreneurship. First two days were focused on the nutritious food for human body, effect of the lack of nutritious food, comparison of different foods etc. and in the same time children got chance to learn about the diseases. The facilitator and doctor suggested some nutritious food and recipes of food for the good health. Children also got chance to learn about the entrepreneurship. They had discussion on the issue, entrepreneurship and shared about their business plans. The workshop became so fruitful for the children and they are very happy to know more about CDK and CHC. The participants have planned to share their knowledge and experience among the CDK members.
