VOC organized an Interaction Program on Early Childhood Development Education with 31 school teachers and municipality representatives on 8th February 2021 in Mahankal Rural Municipality, Lalitpur. The objectives of the project were to inform about government initiative on ECD education and share the ideas & collect the feedback on Facilitator Guidebook.
The director of VOC presented about the importance of ECD education, government plan and significance of ECD facilitator guidebook. Thereafter, open discussion started and some teachers shared that ECD education is being effective creating child friendly environment in ECD classroom.
The chief of Education Branch of Rural Municipality highlighted that ECD Facilitation Guide Book is an innovative step of VOC and it is totally new for the rural municipality’s education development. He also expressed his confidence that book will obviously support to ECD facilitators to conduct every day classes in a creative and child friendly way. Furthermore, entire participants of program have done commitment to do their best utilization of ECD Facilitation Guide Book in teaching learning practice. Additionally, School Management Committee members shared that renovation of ECD class rooms is very promising and it has supported for in improvement of health and hygiene of children. After new set-up, the children are regular at school.
The president of Municipality addressed that schools have acknowledged the efficiency of ECD teaching & playing tools that is very complementary in teaching learning practice and he further ensured to do best from municipality level for adoption of Facilitator Guidebook.
VOC is implementing ECD project in Mahankal Rural Municipality from January 2020 to improve the quality in ECD education.
